A — Terms starting with A
Allwyn
The company that now runs TZOKER, following the January 2026 rebrand of OPAP and its March 2026 conversion into Allwyn AG. opaponline.gr was replaced by allwyn.gr, and shops are being rebranded through to 2027.

Bonus Ball
(Tzoker number)
The single number drawn from the 1–20 Tzoker pool, separately from the five main numbers. Required for the jackpot and for the bonus tiers (5+1, 4+1, 3+1, 2+1, 1+1).
C — Terms starting with C
Claim Deadline
(Προθεσμία Είσπραξης)
For agency participation, prizes must be collected within three (3) months from the date the winning entry is registered in the Central IT System; after that the right to claim lapses. Online winnings are credited to the player’s electronic account immediately. Check whether you won with the ticket checker.
Cold Number
A number that has been drawn fewer times than the average over the selected timeframe. Cold numbers are a historical statistic — they do not become more (or less) likely to be drawn next. See the actual data in the TZOKER statistics.
Column
(Single 5+1 set)
One playable combination of 5 main numbers plus 1 Tzoker. The minimum participation is one column, costing €1.00. Build your column with the number generator.
Column Sum
(Άθροισμα Στήλης)
The total of the 5 main numbers in a column. It ranges from 15 (1+2+3+4+5) to 215 (41+42+43+44+45), with most results falling near the middle. See the actual data in the TZOKER statistics.
Combination C(n,k)
(Συνδυασμός C(n,k))
The formula for how many ways k items can be chosen from n when order does not matter. C(45,5) = 1,221,759 gives the possible main-number combinations.
Combinatorial / Wheel System
A betting structure that picks more than 5 main numbers and/or more than 1 Tzoker, generating every possible 5+1 combination. Cost = C(main numbers, 5) × number of joker numbers × €1.00. Build your column with the number generator.

F — Terms starting with F
Fixed Prize
A prize tier that pays a constant amount regardless of how many winners there are. In TZOKER, tiers 2–9 are fixed prizes; only tier 1 (5+1) is pari-mutuel and rolls over.
Frequency
The number of times a specific main number (1–45) or Tzoker (1–20) has been drawn in a given timeframe (1 month, 3 months, 1 year, 5 years, all-time, etc.). See the actual data in the TZOKER statistics.
G — Terms starting with G
Gambler's Fallacy
The mistaken belief that past random outcomes affect future ones — for example, that a number which hasn't appeared recently is 'due'. Each TZOKER draw is independent; previous results carry no information about the next one.
Gaming Activity Limits
(Όρια Παικτικής Δραστηριότητας)
Online players must set a deposit limit, a loss limit and a participation time limit from their first session. They are notified at 80% and 100% of each. Limits can be tightened immediately; loosening them only takes effect after the current period ends.

Hypergeometric Distribution
The probability distribution that describes the chance of drawing exactly k matches from a fixed pool without replacement. TZOKER odds are computed as P(k main matches) × P(Tzoker match or not) — see the Odds Explained guide.

Jackpot
(Tier 1 / 5+1)
The top prize, awarded for matching all 5 main numbers and the Tzoker. The TZOKER jackpot is a guaranteed minimum of €1,000,000 and rolls over until won. Odds: 1 in 24,435,180 per column.
L — Terms starting with L
Law of Large Numbers
(Νόμος των Μεγάλων Αριθμών)

Low and High Numbers
(Μικροί και Μεγάλοι Αριθμοί)
A conventional split of the 45 main numbers into low (1 to 23) and high (24 to 45). Used as a balance filter, with no effect on odds. See the actual data in the TZOKER statistics.

The pool of integers 1 to 45 from which 5 winning numbers are drawn at each TZOKER draw, separately from the Tzoker number.
Minimum Guaranteed Jackpot
The smallest jackpot Allwyn guarantees for the next TZOKER draw, currently €1,000,000. If the previous draw's pool exceeds this, the larger amount is published instead.
O — Terms starting with O
Odds
The likelihood of an event, usually expressed as 'X in Y' (e.g. 1 in 24,435,180 for the TZOKER jackpot). Odds describe the chance per single column played, not per ticket.
OPAP
(ΟΠΑΠ Α.Ε.)
The former name of the company that runs TZOKER. Since January 2026 it has traded under the Allwyn brand, and in March 2026 it converted into Allwyn AG. Game names such as TZOKER, LOTTO and KINO are unchanged.
Overdue (Delay)

P — Terms starting with P
Pairs and Triplets
(Ζεύγη και Τριάδες)
Groups of 2 or 3 main numbers that have been drawn together in the same draw. Their frequency describes the past and does not predict future results. See the actual data in the TZOKER statistics.
Pari-Mutuel
(Mutual prize pool)
A payout method where the prize pool of a tier is split equally between all winners of that tier. In TZOKER, only tier 1 (5+1) is pari-mutuel and rolls over; tiers 2–9 are fixed prizes.

Agency play — up to €999.99: cash at an agency; €1,000 to €1,999.99: cash at an agency or through a bank, with ID; above €2,000: exclusively through a bank, with ID; above €100,000: exclusively through a bank, with a payment order issued by the company's Athens offices, after the player first calls 800-800-5000 (free from a landline) or 210 5798888. Check whether you won with the ticket checker.

Main numbers drawn again in the immediately following draw. On average roughly one number repeats each draw. See the actual data in the TZOKER statistics.

When a TZOKER draw produces no jackpot winner, the unwon pool is added to the next draw's jackpot. Multiple consecutive rollovers can grow the jackpot to tens of millions of euros.
S — Terms starting with S

On draw days, tickets can be entered until 21:30, which is 30 minutes before the 22:00 draw.
Self-Exclusion
(Αυτοαποκλεισμός)
A player may choose a 24-hour time-out, a temporary exclusion of 1 to 12 months, or indefinite exclusion. Indefinite exclusion closes the account and re-registration is permitted after 12 months. The player is entered in the EEEP register of excluded players, which applies across all licensed operators, not just one.

Spread
(Εύρος Στήλης)
The difference between the highest and lowest main number in a column. A small spread means the numbers are clustered. See the actual data in the TZOKER statistics.
Standardised System
(Τυποποιημένο Σύστημα)
One of Allwyn's 10 predefined systems, letting a player enter with fewer columns and lower cost than the equivalent full system, at the price of covering fewer combinations. Build your column with the number generator.

Statistical Significance
(Στατιστική Σημαντικότητα)
Whether an observed deviation exceeds what chance alone explains. In TZOKER, most frequency differences between numbers are not statistically significant.
Syndicate
(Group play)
A group of players who pool money to buy more columns than each could alone. Syndicates do not change the per-column odds, but they raise the chance the group will win at least something — at the cost of splitting any prize.
System Code
(Κωδικός Συστήματος)
The code marked in the "SYSTEM CODES" field of the ticket that tells the terminal which standardised system is being played.

TZOKER
(Τζόκερ)
The 5/45 + 1/20 lottery game operated by Allwyn, formerly OPAP. Players pick 5 main numbers from 1–45 and 1 Tzoker from 1–20. Draws: Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday at 22:00 Athens time.
Tzoker Extra (Additional Payout Amount)
0.64% of each draw’s gross gaming revenue is withheld and assigned to one of the nine prize tiers. The draw, amount and tier are announced publicly and to the Hellenic Gaming Commission at least 10 days in advance. There is no extra cost to take part.
U — Terms starting with U
Uniform Distribution
(Ομοιόμορφη Κατανομή)
A distribution where every outcome has exactly the same probability. Every TZOKER number has equal probability in every draw.

Wager Columns
The total number of columns played across all TZOKER tickets for a single draw. Reported by Allwyn and used on tzoker.app to track participation trends per draw.
Wager Tickets
The total number of distinct TZOKER tickets sold for a single draw. A single ticket can hold many columns, so wager_tickets is always lower than wager_columns.
Winning Numbers
The 5 main numbers (1–45) plus the Tzoker (1–20) drawn by Allwyn at the official draw. These are the canonical numbers used to evaluate every ticket for that draw. Check whether you won with the ticket checker.
Winnings Certificate
(Βεβαίωση Κερδών)
A document certifying net winnings for a fiscal year. Granted only to players with a Greek tax number, on request.
Withholding Tax
Greek tax withheld from TZOKER prizes before payout, under Article 16 of the TZOKER terms of participation (L. 5219/2025, Α' 130). Brackets: 0% up to €100, 2.5% €100.01–€200, 5% €200.01–€500, 10% €500.01–€2,500, 20% above €2,500. Tax is calculated per slip. The amount paid for that draw's entries is deducted first. The band's rate applies only to the amount exceeding that band's lower threshold. Example: a €600 prize is taxed at 10% on the €100 above €500, so €10.
